Impact on Urban Health - Emergency Fund Film
New work for Impact on Urban Health
"During the pandemic, organisations like food banks and mental health services were dealing with increases in demand while losing funding. There was a real chance that these services wouldn’t be able to function at a time when people needed them most.
We responded to this need with a new, flexible, trusting approach. Nobody knows the circumstances on-the-ground better than the organisations themselves, and unrestricted funding gives them the ability to make the greatest impact based on their expertise.
We designed the fund using a more equitable funding model – one that meant small organisations could focus on supporting their communities, rather than meeting stringent application and reporting requirements. We also prioritised reaching out to historically underfunded groups including Black and diverse-led organisations.
We want to share the stories of organisations we've supported with a more equitable funding model, to see the difference they made to their communities at such a vital time." Impact on Urban Health
